Successfully completing your ELDT course is a significant step towards obtaining your commercial driver's license. At Driving-Tests.org, we've made this process as straightforward as possible. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to navigate through your ELDT course.
1. Theory Module
Your first task is to complete the theory module. This involves learning the necessary knowledge to operate a commercial vehicle safely. You have three options to cover the theory:
Watch the video: The video lessons cover all the necessary topics in a concise and easy-to-understand manner.
Listen to the audio companion guide: If you prefer to learn by listening, the audio companion guide provides a comprehensive overview of the course content.
Read through the PDF: If you prefer to learn by reading, you can go through the PDF version of the course content.
Once you have gone through the material, remember to mark it as done. This signals to our system that you have completed this portion of the course.
2. Practice Test Module
Next, you'll move on to the Practice Test Module. Here, you'll have the chance to test your knowledge through a series of practice tests and Marathons. Make sure you complete all of them. Double-check to make sure you have selected all the endorsements you'll need on the Settings page (https://driving-tests.org/settings/) before you proceed.
3. Exam Simulator
The Exam Simulator is your chance to get a feel for what the actual exam will be like. It's designed to mimic the format and difficulty of the real test. Complete the Exam Simulator to increase your readiness for the actual exam.
4. Challenge Bank™
The Challenge Bank™ is a collection of questions that you found difficult during your practice tests. Make sure your Challenge Bank™ stays empty. This means you have reviewed and understood all the challenging questions.
5. CDL Manual and Cheat Sheets
In addition to the theory module and practice tests, make sure to read the Commercial Driver's Manual and the CDL Cheat Sheets. These materials provide a wealth of information that can help you pass the test.
Don't forget to mark these as done once you've completed them.
6. Passing Probability
After completing all the above steps, work towards achieving a Passing Probability of 80% or more. This is a crucial step, as this is the threshold that triggers the automatic submission of your ELDT Theory Certificate to the FMCSA's Training Provider Registry (TPR).
By following these steps, you can successfully complete your ELDT course on Driving-Tests.org. Remember, consistent study and practice are key to your success. Good luck on your journey to becoming a certified commercial driver!
