There are a few reasons why the DMV might not be able to locate your training record. It's important to understand these potential reasons and know how to resolve them so that you can proceed smoothly with your driver's training. Driving-Tests.org instantly submits your ELDT Theory Certificate to the federal Training Provider Registry upon program completion.

Incomplete Behind-the-Wheel ELDT training

One potential reason is that you have not completed your Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) component with a separate BTW ELDT provider. The ELDT program has specific requirements, and completing the BTW training is a crucial part of it. Make sure that you've completed this component with an authorized BTW ELDT provider and that they've submitted your record to the Training Provider Registry (TPR). Typographical errors in personal information

Another possibility is that there were typos or errors in your personal information when you signed up with us. These could include mistakes in your driver's license number, name, or other essential details. We recommend reviewing the personal information you provided during signup to ensure its accuracy.

Delayed update in DMV's system

There can be delays in the DMV's system in reflecting your training record. Despite us sending your training record to the federal Training Provider Registry instantly upon program completion, it may sometimes take DMVs up to 48 hours or even a week for individual records to show up on their systems.

Checking your training record

To verify your training record, you can check the confirmation in your account or the email confirmation we sent you upon program completion. The confirmation indicates that your training record has been successfully submitted to the TPR. You can also manually locate your record by visiting the TPR's website and following the instructions. https://tpr.fmcsa.dot.gov/Check

If your DMV asks for a printed certificate

They really shouldn't be doing that. Please note that the ELDT regulations clearly state that the only acceptable form of proof of training is the electronic record automatically generated and submitted to the TPR by our system. If your DMV asks for a physical completion certificate, contact them to update their systems. If needed, you can email us at [email protected], and we'll send you a screenshot of your record in the federal TPR. While this should not be necessary, we understand that some DMVs are still adjusting to the new regulations, and a physical printout of your record might help expedite the process.

We also email you a PDF copy of your ELDT Theory Certificate when we send you the certificate submission confirmation. You may want to show a copy of that certificate at the DMV, too. In the event that you haven't received the PDF copy of your certificate, please contact us for assistance. Our team is on hand to help you out.
