Thank you for being a valued partner in the Driving-Tests.org library initiative! We're making some internal updates to how the library program is hosted and delivered to ensure our service remains robust, accessible, and effective for everyone.

What's Changing:

  • Single Unified Subdomain: We're consolidating our 2,500+ individual library subdomains into one unified structure located at library.driving-tests.org/STATE/. This simplifies our infrastructure significantly.

  • Automatic Redirects: Your existing library subdomain will automatically redirect your patrons to the correct state-specific program. Your users will continue to access exactly the same free DMV practice tests as before.

  • Personalization Update: The previous "In partnership with [LIBRARY]" text will now become more general: "In partnership with your library."

  • Usage Tracking: Librarians will no longer have individual access to detailed program usage statistics.

Why Are We Making These Changes?

Technical Efficiency: Managing 2,500+ individual subdomains created significant challenges with Google's indexing and negatively impacted the visibility of our main website.

Sustainability: These changes allow us to maintain the high quality and reliability of our free library program without negatively impacting our main site’s performance and rankings.

Important: The Core Service Remains Unchanged

  • Free Access: Your patrons will continue to receive completely free access to DMV practice tests and resources.

  • Content & Functionality: The content, quality, and user experience will remain exactly as before. Users will not experience any reduction in service quality.

We deeply appreciate your understanding and continued support. These adjustments will help ensure we can sustainably offer high-quality resources to your library patrons long into the future.
